I done lots of bakings & cookings today! I can't believe I can do so many things in a day! But of course, these are done with sacrifices like not playing with my children and reading up on other recipes etc etc. There is always an opportunity forgone when doing something instead of doing another. This was my schedule for today:
8am - Fried Carrot Cakes for family of 6 using last night's steamed radish cake.
Hi Lauren, Thanks a lot for your compliment! Don't praise me too much, else I'll be proud! ;p Actually all turned out so-so only. Trying to achieve too much in a day will result in not-so-good-quality! Hahaha...That's really the truth!
Hi anamika:the sugarcrafter, Thanks for your compliments! It's really not that fantastic you know. Some of the ingredients can be prepared before hand, like the crusts, steamed radish cake etc. So, it'll not that bad. I'm sure anyone can do it too! ;)
Haha i think that's really true. Just last week, i was making two different cake batters- and it totally slipped my mind to add the sugar into the chocolate batter. Good thing i always sneak a taste of the batter before i bake it- i had used Dutch-processed cocoa powder so the batter was incredible bitter, to say the least :D
Wow Laureen, You're very steady leh! You actually taste the batter? Doesn't it taste horrid? I mean, all the uncooked flour & eggs & what-have-yous?? Good grief! Does it really help if you had forgotten one of the ingredients?? :p
Haha i don't taste the batter for the sake of doing it. I usually just catch the batter dripping down the side of the mixing bowl, after i pour the batter into the pan, before it drips onto the countertop and makes a mess. I just got really lucky with those chocolate cupcakes :)
