I made a Strawberry Shortcake for a friend on Sunday. I was supposed to meet her and other friends for dinner on Monday evening. This is meant for her.
I asked her what flavour of cake she would like for her birthday, she said "Strawberries because I like the colour!" I told her, "Yeah, just like your cheeks!" Hahaha...She sure has very nice rosy cheeks. This is just for her!
I wanted to use Aunt Yochana's recipe on Japanese Strawberry Shortcake, but my cake turned out to be like "kueh" after I baked it! Must've been the messiness of the yolks & whites when I tried to separate it!
Haiz! In the end, I used the emulsifier sponge cake and whipped cream for the cake. Luckily, the overall still looks presentable!
