Yesterday, I attended a Parent & Child Gingerbread House workshop with my eldest boy, and my sister with her elder boy. It was held at Creative Culinaire. It was really fun, but tiring. The Gingerbread house that we made were so big that it cannot be fitted into any box! We used the 12" by 12" cake board as a base, and built the house up slowly. It was truly a wonderful experience! It just shows the creativity of the children & the adults. My nephew was truly a very creative boy!!
My son told me this morning that he would like to attend such workshops again in future. Well, I also agree that we should attend such workshops in future too! Good parent & child bonding! :)
WOW!! I love the gingerbread house! My boys will love it too!! I hv been wanting to sign up such coures with them but a little tough to go in with 2boys alone esp when I know nuts about baking!
Hi Fiona, Thanks! Merry Christmas to you and the Js & your hubby too! :) Actually, my sister who went, is worst off than you! She doesn't bake & has no interest in baking. She did her gingerbread house well too! You shouldn't worry about such things, just go there to have fun with your kids, more importantly! Try to check out Creative Culinaire website when it's school holidays. They usually have a couple of parent-child workshops. It's quite worth it. My sister told me she saw Gingerbread house selling in hotels, for $80, which is smaller than what we made. So it's really worth it! ;)
