California Style Bakings 3

It's another weekend for my California Style Baking. This week, we're baking muffins and brownies. How boring! *yawn* Oops, sorry. Actually not so bad. At least we get to learn different ways of baking and using different ingredients and methods. Here's what was done on Saturday.

All American Brownies.

1. Adding the melted chocolate into the mixer.
2. Fold in the walnuts.
3. Baking the brownies in the oven. If only I have an oven at home which is so big...
4. Demonstrating how to cut the brownies evenly.

This is my brownie, cut and sprinkle with snow powder. It's actually quite nice, but taste more like cake than brownie. Airy and chocky. Not my kind of definition of brownie actually.

Sun Dried Blueberry Muffins.

1. Ingredients for the muffins.
2. Using manual mixing, mix the flour to the eggs.
3. Stir in the butter thoroughly.
4. Deposit them into paper cups 80% filled.

These were the baked muffins. It's not my kind of muffins too! This muffin tasted very much like cake. Look at the cross section, you'll know it's not muffins. In fact, it's more like cake than muffins. I was rather disappointed with this recipe. I don't think I'll actually try it again.

My wedding cake decoration. This is a sneak preview of my wip wedding cake. More details coming up after this week when I complete the course.
