Hi Gina, Yes, I love Saturdays cos I have (almost) the whole day to do my bakings. Usually we will go to my parents' house for dinner. However, last Saturday, they had other appointment, so I had more time to do my bakings! Thanks for the suggestion on the use of the egg whites. I'm still very tempted to want to try macaroons. But I found sieving the ground almonds a challenge, which puts me off. Actually I don't mind keeping the whites until I can find a better use for it. :p
Hi Laureen, I just plan what I want to do in advance you know. In between bakes sometimes, you can "steal" sometime to prepare other things. Like between my layers of lapis cake, I packed my children's toys! Everything was just one after another. By the end of the day, I wasn't able to stand too upright! Hahahaha....
so evenly spread out..the lapis cake! What are you going to do with all the egg whites? actually you can use it to make crispy thins cookies. :)
ReplyDeleteWow. It still floors me completely how you get so much done in one day and have them all come out gorgeous!
