Saturday's Food

This week I was quite lazy to do baking. Mainly because we shifted our office. With the packing & unpacking, it made me just too tired to bake after I reached home. There are always so many foods/desserts that I want to bake, but donn't know where and how to start. This is what I did today.

Coffee buns extracted from Aunt Yochana's blog.

My Strawberry Shortcake Dessert.
Instead of a cake, I made it into small cups so that it's not so filling. I made nine cups to be exact. I use sponge cake, creme chantilly & strawberries.

I baked pastas for dinner.

Hi Jane,
You made so many foods in a day? You really can made it!!! I love the coffee bun, it looks similar with the one I bought from Roti Boy shop. You house must be full of coffee smell. I could smell it from the computer indeed kekekeke!!!

Hi Grace,
Don't be deceived by the look wor! The recipe is from Yochana's blog. It's really the Roti Boy bun. I love coffee buns, and it's not too difficult to bake, so I tried it. But the butter part was pretty difficult though. The last time, I tried shredded cheese, but this time I used butter. Actually it's not so bad to make so many foods in a day. The sponge cake was baked the day before mah. Just whipped up the cream and assembled it on Saturday only. ;)

Hi Jane,
I still can't imagine how you make so many foods in a day as I guess you still need to take care of the house, husband and children. You're really capable! I made roti boy before, but I've problem to seel the butter into the dough properly and that cause the butter flow out from the dough during baking process. I shall try again next time. You did a very good job!

Hi Grace,
Hahaha... you really flattered me too much lah! I have a domestic helper. My children & my hubby don't need me to take care. ;p I only screamed & shout out from the kitchen to the kids in the living room. That's all! I spent my day in the kitchen... That's how I managed!

Hi Lauren,
Looks like I have to be out with the truth! Everything for the coffee buns were done by me. For the strawberry shortcake desserts, the cake was baked the day before. For the pastas, my maid helped me to cook the pastas, and I did the rest myself. She did all the washings for me too! So basically it was just preparation and baking. Is it really a lot for a day? Maybe I enjoyed doing all these I didn't realise it was "insane"!
